Why is this comic book valuable?įantastic Four #3 is valuable because it contains the 3rd appearance of the team, the 1st team appearance of the Fantastic Four in costume and the 1st appearance of the Baxter Building. ![]() ![]() Those same books brought only $175 in 2009. FN 6.0 copies sold for $800 and bring double that today at $1,600 and lower grade GD 2.0 can be picked up today for around $500. The highest graded copy to reach the market was a CGC NM+ 9.6 that went for almost $40,000 back in 2012. ![]() It's easy to imagine this issue would bring north of $100,000. No sale of the only known NM/MT 9.8 copy has ever been reported.
